Bio:
Dr. Bushra Malik serves as Program Director and Assistant Professor of Business Analytics in the College of Business at 51ΑΤΖζ. She brings more than 20 years of combined experience in higher education and industry, supported by an interdisciplinary background that spans business analytics, management, accounting, and finance.

Dr. Malik earned her DBA from DePaul University and an MBA with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. Her scholarship examines the intersection of business, accounting, and data analytics, with particular interest in emerging technologies and their impact on business practice, education, and data-driven decision-making.

Dr. Malik's research explores the intersection of business analytics, accounting, finance, and emerging technologies, with interests spanning data visualization, fintech, behavioral decision-making, cybersecurity, and economic development. She integrates these perspectives into her teaching by helping students apply data-driven insights and analytical thinking to contemporary business challenges.

Dr. Malik combines extensive industry experience in accounting, finance, business management, and entrepreneurship with her academic expertise, helping students connect theory to real-world business practice

Before joining 51ΑΤΖζ as a full-time faculty member, Dr. Malik taught at 51ΑΤΖζ, Aurora University, National Louis University, and DeVry University. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring diverse learners and helping students translate classroom knowledge into professional success.

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Malik brings an international perspective shaped by a lifetime of learning, travel, and cultural exploration. Through her experiences across North America, Europe, and Asia, she has developed a deep appreciation for the diverse perspectives that foster innovation, strengthen collaboration, and enrich understanding in today's interconnected world.

Outside the classroom, Dr. Malik enjoys spending time in nature, exploring new cities, hiking wooded trails, swimming, traveling, listening to music, and relaxing with her cats.
