Applied Graduate Learning Track

The Graduate Applied Learning Track connects graduate-level academic theory with hands-on, professional experience. As a core requirement of this track, you will embed your daily work or course deliverables directly into your graduate studies—solving real employer challenges, completing practical capstone projects, and mastering industry competencies in real time. It is a track built explicitly for ambitious students ready to build their résumé, expand their network, and connect their professional experience to their 51ÁÔÆæ degree.

Track Overview

The Applied Graduate Learning Track systematically integrates required, course-specific experiential learning into the academic program.  Enrolled students are required to engage in a pre-approved professional setting to satisfy track requirements and complete all regular degree requirements for graduation.

Track Requirements & Design

  • Curriculum Integration: Students must apply active professional experience to complete required coursework, demonstrate program-level competencies, and complete workplace-based projects.

  • Employer Agreement: Practical assignments and course deliverables are framed around actual workplace challenges and validated against professional standards.  Enrollment and continued participation in this track will require a Cooperative Agreement approved by the experience provider.

  • Mandatory Component: Professional Experiential Learning is a required, non-optional element for all students in this track to ensure direct alignment between academic instruction, professional development, and career readiness.

International Students must be enrolled in the Applied Graduate Learning Track prior to requesting CPT approval from the ISGSS Office.
